Join the team at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan and help keep the fun alive! As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a key role in making sure our attraction is safe, smooth, and unforgettable. From troubleshooting rides to keeping lights, sound, and special effects running perfectly—you’re the real MVP of the guest experience.

🔨 What You’ll Do

• 🛠️ Perform preventive & reactive maintenance on:
  • HVAC, plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and ride equipment
  • Audio-visual systems, lighting, and interactive exhibits

• 🔍 Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime

• 🎡 Support ride safety and performance for both motorized and kid-powered attractions

• 🎨 Handle minor painting, touch-ups, and wall repairs to keep spaces looking fresh

• 📦 Assist with shipping, receiving, exhibit setups, and takedowns

• 💡 Replace lamps, light fixtures, projector bulbs, and other components

• 💻 Install data cables, set up PC hardware/software, and maintain networking systems

• 🔧 Safely operate power tools and hand tools

• 🧯 Follow all OSHA and PPE safety standards

• 🧹 Pitch in with light custodial work as needed

✅ You’re a Great Fit If You Have…

• A high school diploma or GED (required)
• 2+ years of maintenance experience (attractions, themed environments, or service industries preferred)
• Hands-on skills in general repair: painting, minor building fixes, electronics, or motors
• Bonus knowledge in:
  • Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, low-voltage wiring
  • AV systems (DMX lighting, projectors, sound equipment)
  • Mechanical systems (motors, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics)
• A safety-first mindset 🔐 and strong attention to detail
• The ability to multitask, work under pressure, and stay cool when things get hectic
• A desire to work in a fun, guest-focused environment 🎢

📅 Schedule & Physical Demands

• Flexible availability—early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors, in varying temperatures
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights, and handle physical tasks
• Exposure to loud noises, flashing lights, and changing light levels
• Safety gear and PPE required for specific tasks
