What you'll bring to the team

 

Reporting to the Warehouse and Logistics Manager, the Warehouse and Logistics Controller ensures smooth and efficient warehouse operations, supporting the overall logistics and supply chain of the organization. This role involves leading & performance managing staff, managing stock levels, overseeing day to day operations in the LLFR WH, operating 365 days/12 hours a day, servicing all 4 operating attractions & 3 Hotels including all daily deliveries to F&B partner units, manage a large offsite Ware House, coordinating logistics operations, ensuring that all H&S standards are met, equipment PM is being done, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory through effective stock take processes in the WH. The position requires a proactive approach, with a focus on improving efficiency, maintaining operational standards, and supporting business objectives.

Daily Management

  • Takes part in a rotating schedule to ensure leadership is present in all hours of WH operations
  • Serves in an elevated capacity leading the team on a day to day basis including managing development and performance.
  • Ensures that all daily H&S checks are being done by the teams

Stock Management

  • Monitor stock levels daily to ensure appropriate inventory is maintained to meet operational demands while avoiding overstocking.
  • Implement effective systems for labelling, organizing, and storing items in the warehouse to enhance accessibility and reduce retrieval time.
  • Conduct routine audits to ensure physical inventory matches the digital records in the inventory management system.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in stock levels, working collaboratively with the Warehouse and Logistics Manager to mitigate future errors.
  • Establish and maintain stock rotation practices, ensuring older inventory is utilized before newer items.

 

Pick and Deliver Internal Allocations

  • Oversee the receipt of internal requests for inventory allocations, ensuring all requisitions are processed in a timely manner.
  • Accurately ensures that teams pick items based on internal allocation requests, confirming quantities and item specifications to prevent errors.
  • Manage the safe and efficient delivery of allocated items to designated departments, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Actively engage with departments to streamline the delivery process and address any recurring issues or bottlenecks.

Management of Stock Takes

  • Together with Ware House & Logistics Manager Plan and execute comprehensive stock takes, both routine and ad hoc for the onsite & offsite Ware House, ensuring full coverage of all inventory.
  • Utilize systematic counting methods and technology to improve accuracy and minimize human error during stock takes.
  • Reconcile variances between physical stock and system records, investigating and addressing root causes promptly.

Co-ordinate Logistics

  • Plan and manage the scheduling of inbound shipments, ensuring timely receipt of goods while minimizing delays.
  • Coordinate outbound shipments, liaising with couriers and transport providers to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Monitor the efficiency of logistics operations, identifying and addressing inefficiencies or cost overruns.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements for all logistics activities, including import/export documentation where necessary.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with logistics partners and suppliers to ensure seamless collaboration.

 

Health & Safety

  • Oversee compliance of policies and procedures set forth within the Merlin Entertainments Group Health, Safety and Security Policy.
  • Develop & maintain SOPs for Warehouse operations
  • Understand risk assessments and ensure reporting of any new risks as appropriate.
  • In cases of incidents or accidents ensure appropriate reporting is done in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Actively share ideas, comments, and suggestions for improving safety within their work areas with their appropriate line manager.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations in a key stakeholder role, logistics coordination, or inventory management.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and logistics tools.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to warehouse and logistics operations.

Pay Range

From USD $24.39/Hr.
