Essential Functions:

The Wardrobe Seasonal Senior MC  is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Wardrobe department when the Wardobe Management is absent. This position is a seasonal position that will be in place between the end of March, through August 30th, 2025. This includes:

  • Managing the Wardrobe staff
  • Overseeing wardrobe inventory
  • Ensuring that all company policies are followed
  • Other duties as specified by the Operations and through the Scope and Responsibilities of the Role.

Scope and Responsibilities:

  • Assists with setting department standards as well as maintaining them through MC monitoring, auditing, training, and recertification.
  • Monitor attendance and adjusts staffing, with approval, to meet Park needs. Responsible for daily scheduling and organizing breaks and meal periods, as necessary.
  • Under the direction of supervisory staff, will assist with or be held accountable for: scheduling, coaching, writing, observing, and providing feedback on policy compliance.
  • Communicates and acts as needed regarding any operational, guest, maintenance, safety, or staffing problems.
  • Knowledgeable concerning what constitutes a complete outfit for each area and issues accordingly.
  • Receives clean wardrobe back from vendor, inventories, and racks clean garments.
  • Maintains a good relationship with vendor delivery drivers to ensure the department is being serviced correctly.
  • Keeps Wardrobe area clean and all wardrobe items put away or hung in the appropriate place.
  • Ensures that all documentation is up to date and completed correctly by Wardrobe Associates.
  • Assist the Seamstress if necessary.
  • Looks for new ways to use space efficiently and speed the process of issuing garments.
  • Ensure that all safety policies/procedures are maintained in the department.
  • Ensures that SDS is up to date and new chemicals are added.
  • Operate garment maintenance machinery effectively and safely. (Washers, dryers, irons, steamers, etc.)
  • Can supervise the department and report back to Assistant Manager when they are out of office.
  • Reports to Assistant Manager and Wardrobe Manager on the performance of the department and team.
  • Leads department in inventory levels and ensuring Assistant Management is aware of any concerns.
  • Monitors the appearance of MCs and works to uphold all Grooming and Appearance policies set forth by LEGOLAND California.

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

Background and Experience:

One year of experience as a Wardrobe Issue Attendant in a theme park, hotel, resort, or other closely related field is highly desirable, but not required. Requires good interpersonal skills, must be polite, friendly, and outgoing.  Must be a collaborator who works well with others. Good verbal and written communication skills are important. Requires the ability to self-initiate activities and coordinate daily tasks, should be able to work with a minimum of supervision. Must be organized, meticulous, and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment.  Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required, but not necessary. Basic math skills are required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills along with effective organizational and problem-solving skills.  Must be able to self-initiate activities, coordinate tasks, and exhibit strong project management and follow-up skills. 

 

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent required. A four-year degree in Business or related field is a plus.

 

Other Requirements:

Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support park operations. Sewing skills a plus.
