The Seasonal Wardrobe Assistant Manager will act as a point of Leadership between line staff and the Department Manager. Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Wardrobe department. This includes but is not limited to coordinating breaks, overseeing Wardrobe inventory through the peak and non-peak periods, and monitoring overall Resort uniform presentation. This will support the Spring and Summer seasons with an approximate end date of August 30, 2025.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist with monitoring the appearance of MCs and works to uphold all Grooming and Appearance policies set forth by LEGOLAND California Resort.
- Assists with setting Department Standards as well as maintaining them through MC monitoring, auditing, training, and recertification.
- Monitors attendance and adjusts, with approval, to meet Park needs. Responsible for daily scheduling and organizing breaks and meal periods
- Under the direction of Supervisory staff will assist with or be held accountable for: scheduling, coaching, writing, and issuing performance reviews and corrective actions, observing, and providing feedback on policy compliance.
- Able to utilize and train MCs on all applicable equipment
- Organizes and stocks related supplies and notifies the Department Supervisor to ensure stock is ordered in a timely manner. Assists with ordering as deemed necessary.
- Communicates and acts as needed regarding any operational, guest, maintenance, safety or staffing problems.
- Develops and maintains strong working relationships with current and new Wardrobe vendors. Works with vendors to ensure delivery of clean and acceptable wardrobe items and works to resolve any problems as they arise.
- Complete specialty sewing projects on a by-request basis.
- Assist with Inventory control to ensure department meets yearly uniform budget.
- Sources and orders inventory for the successful operation of the Wardrobe Department; maintains inventory at adequate levels for all seasons.
- Responsible for all aspects of Health, Safety & Security within the team, in line with the Group Policy (HS001). In particular, must ensure that risk assessments have been carried out, that safe working procedures are in place for all work activities and that all employees are aware of the Group Health, Safety and Security Policy and their obligations under it. Ensure that safe working practices are monitored, and that risk assessments and procedures are reviewed regularly. Where incidents do occur, ensure that they are investigated appropriately and that where necessary, corrective action is taken to ensure that such incidents are not repeated.
