We are seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join us as a Retail Supervisor, the guardian of unforgettable experiences for our guests. If you have boundless energy, a love for hospitality, and a natural talent for leading enthusiastic teams, then this is your chance to shine!

Qualifications & Experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate training for all secondary revenue areas, focusing on suggestive selling, upselling, and customer service.
  • Train the retail team and monitor team members’ successes and learning opportunities for sales performance.
  • Ensure the merchandising and display stock levels meet both brand standards and replenishment is carried out consistently.
  • Change promotional and upsell items seasonally and as performance dictates.
  • Lead support for monthly inventory control and stock take and controlling waste costs and stock loss.
  • Responsible for maintaining the retail store, adhering to all space plans, merchandising, and design elements.
  • Ensuring all register errors are kept to a minimum and investigating discrepancies.
  • Understand the correlation between guest experience and achieving volume, revenue, and EBITDA targets.
  • Working closely with the operations management team to create, implement, drive, maintain, and exceed KPI experience targets for the operations department.
  • Understand risk assessments within attraction and ensure reporting of any new risks to the appropriate line manager.
  • Assumes the position of duty manager and site controller in a rotation with operations management, ensuring the highest possible standards of guest service, presentation, technical operation, and safety in all operation areas of the attraction.
  • Trained to cover all commercial and guest experience positions, including rides.
  • Handle administrative duties including payroll, recognition platforms, schedules, recordkeeping, performance tracking documents, and personnel files.
  • Ensure the safe operation of all rides while maintaining compliance with all Merlin Entertainments, State and Federal rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Support special events as assigned including character offsite requests, partnership events, and internal park events.
  • Ensure the operational team consistently fulfills its responsibilities, fostering collaboration with the entertainment team and supporting a smooth transition into daily operations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Two years of experience in a supervisory position, preferably in Retail of either a visitor attraction, theme park, museum, leisure, hotel, or theatre environment.
  • Experience in dealing with guests in difficult situations and maintaining the highest level of service in high-pressure situations.
  • Experience in a training position preferred.
  • Experience in inventory and stock take procedures
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Excellent communication and motivational skills.
  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be willing to get CPR and First Aid Certifications.

Pay Range

USD $19.50/Hr.
