LEAD TECHNICIAN

Scope of job: The Technician is a vital role in our attractions as they ensure all the fun and magic are being delivered at an optimal level. The Technician assists with the planned and reactive maintenance throughout the attraction to ensure the day-to-day operation is running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Responsible for maintaining all aspects of the attraction including the rides, cinema, equipment, and machinery.
Essential Job Functions: • Ensures the safety of all team members, guests, and animals.
• Promotes team member development through effective training, coaching, and leadership.
• Monitors the frontline team to maintain compliance with all cash handling guidelines, operating procedures and guest service standards.
• Oversees all opening, operating, and closing procedures.
Health & Safety: Employees are responsible for the safety of themselves, their colleagues, and guests (where appropriate), in line with the Group Policy (HS001) and the law. They must ensure that they follow safe working procedures for all work activities that they undertake, and they must not use any tools or equipment for which they have not been trained. Where incidents do occur, they must ensure that they are reported to their line manager and must cooperate with any investigation as appropriate. Managers/supervisors are responsible for all aspects of Health, Safety & Security within their team, in line with the Group Policy (HS001). They must ensure that risk assessments have been carried out, that safe working procedures are in place for all work activities and that all employees in their teams are aware of the Group Health, Safety and Security Policy and their obligations under it. They must ensure that safe working practices are monitored, and that risk assessments and procedures are reviewed regularly. Where incidents do occur, they must ensure that they are investigated appropriately and that where necessary, corrective action is taken to ensure that such incidents are not repeated.
Education and Experience: Minimum of 2 years of service industry experience in a technical/themed environment. At least 2 years of technical college; or equivalent combination of experience and education. Highly self-motivated with previous maintenance experience with maintaining a wide range of equipment including rides. Experience in maintaining flexibility and the highest level of service in high-pressure and/or stressful situations.
Work Environment: Depending on location, work may be performed inside or outside with varying temperatures and floor surfaces. The individual is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, hazardous chemicals, fluorescent lamps, or batteries; hazardous waste; be exposed to a loud work environment
