What you'll bring to the team

 

Main Responsibilities:

 Lifeguard:

  •  Responsible for ensuring all company policies and procedures are adhered to by the self and guests. 
  •  To ensure a safe working environment at all times for both internal and external guests. 
  •  Use and maintain water park facilities and equipment properly and safely. 
  •  Follow all health and safety procedures. 
  •  Must have the responsibility to respond to any emergencies while in the park and must show a sense of urgency while working. 
  •  Responsible for performing all lifeguarding skills based on IAM StarGuard criteria, guest interaction skills, and overall daily performance. 
  •  Maintain minimum training as set down by the department’s procedure.
  •  Provide medical support from team appropriately for all guests. 
  •  Provide excellent guest service with safety in mind. 
  •  Take pride in their wardrobe & appearance (Must bring a respiration mask to work daily). 
  •  Demonstrate ownership of all MC facilities. 
  •  Water Park Lifeguard MC is responsible for all aspects for Health, Safety, and Security within their area. 
  •  This position must be aware of the IIPP (Injury and Illness Prevention Program) and their obligation under it.
  •  This position must follow all DOSH regulations for the Water Park.
  •  The Lifeguard must ensure that safe working practices are followed at all times and must notify management of any areas of concern. 

 

 Ride Operator:

As a Ride Operator, your role is to ensure our guests safely enjoy our attractions. The job duties and abilities are listed below:

  •  Learn and follow detailed ride operating procedures listed in Standard Operating Procedures manuals
  • Strong verbal communication skills to instruct guests and maintain effective communication with other ride operators
  • Work effectively in busy environments with high noise levels
  • Work effectively under pressure in situations such as ride breakdowns or upset guests
  • Maintain a high level of focus to ensure safe operation
  • Comfortable speaking to guests both one-on-one and in groups using a public address system
  • Check rider height and screen for other riding restrictions
  • Ensure all safety policies, rules and procedures are followed at all times
  • Physically check ride restraints (seat belts, lap bars, doors, etc.)
  • Utilize ride controls to operate ride (send vehicles in motion, start ride cycle, stop ride cycle, lock lap bars, etc.)
  • Assist guests utilizing passes, such as disability access passes
  • Follow set procedures during ride break downs, including proper guest communication and carrying out ride evacuation
  • Maintain basic cleanliness and order of ride queues, storage areas, and play areas

Qualifications & Experience

Background and Experience:

· Have a current IAM StarGuard Lifeguard Certification or has the ability to obtain an IAM Starfish certification through  LEGOLAND® facilitated training.

· Have a current IAM StarGuard CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification or has the ability to obtain an IAM Starfish  certification through LEGOLAND® facilitated training.

· Current IAM StarGuard First Aid certification or has the ability to obtain an IAM Starfish certification through LEGOLAND®  facilitated training.

· Must be able to pass written and practical skills exam prior to duty.

· Must have visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents, and the physical ability to act swiftly in emergency situations. 

· Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, to support park hours.

 EMPLOYEES

In particular, they must ensure that they follow safe working procedures for all work activities that they undertake and they must not use any tools or equipment for which they have not been trained.  Where incidents do occur, they must ensure that they are reported to their line manager and must cooperate with any investigation as appropriate.

Pay Range

USD $19.00/Hr.
