What you'll bring to the team

The VIP Builder will utilize their LEGO Knowledge and creativity to craft fun and personalized experiences for our VIPs. They will facilitate Ultimate + experiences, host tours, and provide administrative support as needed

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate VIP Ultimate + events, including but not limited to; Model Building, Factory Tours, Wake Up the Fish, and Reptile Encounters.
  • Lead special Behind the Scenes experiences for Make-A-Wish and other charity events.
  • Keeps inventory of LEGO product needed for experiences and orders replacements in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the Guest Excellence team to create Memorable Experiences in line with our Guest Obsession strategy.
  • Leads by example to ensure VIP MCs meet or exceed our Guest Service expectations as outlined in our Guest Obsessed program.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of new VIP experiences
  • Guide VIP Families during exclusive and unique build sessions.
  • Keep up to date on the latest LEGO Models, Attractions, and Resort Experiences to incorporate in VIP Tours and communicate to Hosts.
  • Ability to quickly build a relationship with a VIP group, identifying the parameters of each member, and using this to create memorable experiences
  • May be asked to act as a sales agent for the VIP Experience and VIP Host when needed
  • Support the Senior MC with office tasks including but not limited to; inventory, shopping, reconciliation

 

This role is Seasonal, and will sunset on Sunday, October 4th 2026.

 

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Minimum 1 year Previous VIP Host and Build experience required (equivalent experience will be considered).
  • Enjoys working directly with Guests and have experience in a guest focused role
  • Possess the ability to execute tasks in an orderly and timely manner, set goals for work load, work well independently, and be self-motivated.
  • Must have an extensive knowledge of LEGOLAND Parks, the LEGO Group, and Merlin Entertainments or an ability to quickly learn a large amount of information.
  • Must be able to deliver information and interact with guests in a conversational manner.
  • Strong organizational, memorization and planning skills are required.
  • Possess a professional demeanor and able to work under pressure.
  • Be a strong problem-solver, quick thinker, and provide outstanding service to the Management team, VIP Team, and our Guests.
  • Excellent and professional verbal and written skills are required for all forms of communication to Guests and colleagues.
  • Conducts high level of professionalism and confidentiality

Preferred:

  • 2 years or more with LEGOLAND California.
  • Fluent in any language in addition to English (preferably Spanish or Mandarin, but any additional languages are a plus)
  • Proficient knowledge and skill of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. Knowledge of Galaxy/Accesso operations is a plus.
  • Cash handling experience

 

 

Education:

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, which include days, nights, weekends, and holidays to support Resort Operations.
