We are looking for a proactive, creative, and detail-oriented Social Media Executive to support the execution of our social media activities. Reporting to the Senior Social Media and Influencer Manager, this role will focus on content creation, community management, and assisting in day-to-day social media operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for social media, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to contribute to the success of exciting campaigns that connect with millions of people worldwide.

 

This role requires full onsite presence, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend availability as business needs require. 

Qualifications & Experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the creation of engaging social media content, including images, videos, copy, stories, and short-form video, across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), TikTok, and YouTube.

  • Schedule, publish, and manage social media content in line with the content calendar, ensuring timely and consistent posting.

  • Ensure all content aligns with Merlin Entertainments’ brand guidelines and resonates with target audiences.

  • Support the planning and execution of social media campaigns, including competitions, promotions, and events, to drive engagement and brand awareness.

  • Assist with influencer outreach and collaboration with brand advocates to amplify content and expand reach.

  • Monitor social media channels daily, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a positive, timely, and on-brand manner.

  • Proactively engage with followers, influencers, and the wider online community to foster meaningful conversations and strengthen brand affinity.

  • Track and report on key social media performance metrics, including engagement, reach, and growth, to assess campaign and content effectiveness.

  • Compile weekly social media performance reports, identifying trends, insights, and optimization opportunities.

  • Provide insights on community sentiment and user-generated content to help inform future content and engagement strategies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Performance Marketing, Marketing, and Global Brand, to ensure a cohesive and consistent brand presence across all digital touchpoints.

  • Partner closely with the Performance Marketing Manager to share high-performing content and campaign learnings across paid and performance channels.

  • Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and digital marketing innovations, proactively sharing insights and recommendations.

  • Monitor competitor activity and industry best practices to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • 1–2 years of experience in social media management or digital marketing, preferably within the entertainment, travel, or hospitality industries.

  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms, best practices, and content optimization strategies.

  • Basic proficiency with social media management tools such as Dash Social, Hootsuite, Canva or Sprinklr.

  • Familiarity with analytics and reporting platforms, including Google Analytics and native social media insights (e.g., Facebook Insights).

  • Excellent written, creative, and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing multiple priorities.

  • Passion for digital media and a strong interest in staying up to date with emerging social media trends and platform updates.

Pay Range

Compensation between USD $23.00/Hr.-USD $27.50/Hr.
