Facilities Electrician – LEGOLAND® Resort

At LEGOLAND® Resort, safety is the foundation of everything we build—and our Facilities Electricians play a vital role in keeping the fun powered on. As part of the Technical Services team, you’ll ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical systems across attractions, themed spaces, backstage areas, and special events, all while supporting unforgettable guest experiences.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of electrical experience and is comfortable working a flexible schedule, including shifts from 5:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. or 12:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m., Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday.

 

Electrical Maintenance & Operations

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems including lighting, panels, breakers, transformers, motors, receptacles, and controls

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues affecting buildings, attractions, show elements, and infrastructure

  • Maintain emergency lighting, exit signage, and backup power systems to ensure life-safety readiness and code compliance

  • Support electrical needs for special events, seasonal overlays, and operational enhancements

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical drawings

Inspections & Compliance

  • Conduct routine inspections in front-of-house and back-of-house areas to identify hazards, deficiencies, or code violations

  • Ensure all work meets local, state, and national electrical codes, as well as LEGOLAND® standards

  • Accurately document inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities in the CMMS

  • Support audits, safety inspections, and corrective action plans

Work Orders & CMMS

  • Respond to and complete electrical work orders efficiently and professionally

  • Track labor, materials, and resolutions accurately within the CMMS

  • Communicate job status, delays, or additional needs to the Facilities Supervisor

Teamwork & Resort Support

  • Collaborate with other Facilities trades (HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting) on multi-discipline projects

  • Support and oversee vendors and contractors performing on-site electrical work

  • Provide technical recommendations for electrical upgrades, repairs, and replacements

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry 25–70 lbs.

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working at heights

  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and elevated areas

  • Exposure to noise, dust, heat, humidity, and varying weather conditions

  • Use of PPE including gloves, eye protection, hearing protection, and fall protection

  • Electrical rooms, rooftops, attractions, and operational areas

  • Flexible scheduling, including weekends, holidays, extended hours, and emergency response coverage

 

Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of hands-on electrical maintenance experience in commercial, industrial, or facilities environments

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and safe work practices

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment

  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety and quality

  • Professional communication skills when interacting with guests, teammates, and leadership

  • High school diploma or GED required (electrical trade school or technical certification preferred)

Preferred Experience

  • Theme park, resort, hospitality, or large campus environment experience

  • Knowledge of low-voltage systems, controls, or show lighting

  • Familiarity with emergency power systems and life-safety circuits

  • Forklift or lift equipment certification
